Tarjeta, efectivo y dividir

Partir en partes iguales o por plato, y reaccionar si la tarjeta falla, sin avergonzar a nadie.

Un cobro torpe en una mesa de seis te quita el sábado. Uno limpio te lo deja.

Escúchalas y dilas. El micrófono es un ensayo, no un examen.

  • We can split it evenly, or by item.

    Podemos dividir en partes iguales, o por lo que pidió cada uno.

  • Tell me who had the food and who had only coffee.

    Dígame quién comió y quién solo tomó café.

  • Cards are fine. There's no minimum.

    La tarjeta va bien. No hay mínimo.

  • I'm sorry, the machine declined it. Shall we try another card?

    Lo siento, el datáfono la rechazó. ¿Probamos con otra?

  • Cash is fine. I'll be right back with the change.

    Efectivo va bien. Vuelvo con el cambio.

Sábado, 13:50. Cuatro amigos. Tres tarjetas.

    Can we split this four ways?

    ¿Lo pueden dividir entre cuatro?

  2. Tú

    Evenly, yes. Or by item, if someone only had a coffee.

    En partes iguales, sí. O por pedido, si alguien solo tomó un café.

    Even is fine. First card.

    Igual está bien. La primera tarjeta.

    I'm sorry, this one was declined. Shall we try another?

    Lo siento, esta fue rechazada. ¿Probamos otra?

    Try mine.

    Prueba la mía.

¿Qué dirías?

Las tres tienen que estar bien para cerrar la lección.

1.Quieren dividir. Unos comieron, otros solo café.
2.El datáfono dice declined.
3.Pagan en efectivo y dicen “keep the change”. El cambio es pequeño y en tu café se puede aceptar.
